Irish Fest Center
Led by the year-round opportunities of running the world's largest Irish festival, Irish Fest hired a full-time Executive Director and opened its first office in 1992. As the festival continued to grow in popularity during the 1990s, so did the continued demands for additional office and workspace.
In 1998, the festival opened its doors to the Irish Fest Center to provide a year-round facility dedicated to Irish-related activities. The Center is home base for Irish Festivals, Inc. offices and host to a variety of activities and events for people of all ages throughout the year. Our dedicated staff members, along with more than 4,000 volunteers, work year-round to bring concerts, lectures, workshops and Milwaukee Irish Fest to life.
In addition, the Center also houses the John J. Ward Irish Music Archives, a collection of sound recordings, sheet music and other Irish music-related items. Named after the late father of the festival's founder, Ed Ward, the archives promote, preserve and celebrate Irish music in all forms.
