Rooted in Irish traditional music since the age of eight, Eileen proceeded to win nine All-Ireland fiddle championships, a tenth on tenor banjo and over 30 championship medals, making her one of the most awarded persons ever to compete in these prestigious competitions.
Grammy awarded and Emmy nominated, Eileen was billed the musical star of Riverdance and has guest starred with over 50 symphonies, including 3 years with the Milwaukee Symphony, and has been featured in many movie soundtracks, including "Gangs of New York." Eileen’s latest recording, "Beyond the Bog Road" (2016), was called “a triumph …a musical magnus-opus” by Irish Music Magazine and has reached number one on the Alt-Country Roots Music Chart.
Eileen Ivers’s current touring project, Universal Roots, with Buddy Connolly, Matt Mancuso, Lindsey Horner and Dave Barckow celebrates the exciting, passionate and joyful connections of Celtic and other Roots music. National Council for the Traditional Arts Chairman, George Holt, has noted “Ivers is a national treasure …a superb band, full of passion and virtuosity.”
