Irish Fest features a number of sporting events to watch and become involved in during your visit. The sporting events are held in different areas of the grounds and can be viewed by all fest goers.

Currach Races
The Currach Races are held in the lagoon on the south end of the grounds on Saturday. There are two featured races, Noon and 5 PM. To learn more about currach racing visit Irish Currach Club of Milwaukee.
Hurling
To learn more about hurling, visit the Milwaukee Hurling Club.
Hurley Making by Phillip Doyle - Fri, Sat, & Sun, Open to 8pm
Come watch as Master Hurley maker Phillip Doyle demonstrates the tools and skill requried to make the hurleys for The Fastest Game on Grass!
Free Youth Hurling Clinics - Sat & Sun from 2-3:30pm at the Cultural Area Entrance
Taught by coaches and players from the Milwaukee Hurling Club, come join this free session that will teach you the basics of Hurling, the national sport of Ireland. Open to ages 4 to 15.
Youth Games - Cultural Area Entrance
As in many endeavors, the future of any enterprise is embodied by the youth. Hurling is no exception. Cheer on the MHC's youngest players as they begin their rise to super-hurldom!
Saturday: 12:30-2:00pm Mini MIght Match - Watch the MHC's youngest players Hurl.
Sunday: 12:30-2:00pm U10 Match-Watch the up and coming youth Hurl.
Urban Hurling Park (just outside the North End of the grounds)
Come watch the action packed sport of Hurling at the Irish Fest Urban Hurling Park located just outside of the north end of the grounds. See why this National Sport of Ireland is truly "The Fastest Game on Grass!" And, cheer on the Milwaukee Hurling Club, the largest hurling club outside of Ireland.

5K Run/Walk to Irish Fest to benefit The Arthritis Foundation
The Arthritis Foundation's Run/Walk to Milwaukee Irish Fest is a 5K run and walk along Milwaukee's beautiful lakefront. For registration information, visit the Arthritis Foundation.
