Milwaukee Irish Fest is a year-round organization passionately committed to igniting a love of Irish culture in all people through Ireland’s music, dance, drama, sports, culture, and genealogy. Milwaukee Irish Fest is comprised of a Foundation, Summer School, the Ward Irish Music Archives containing the world’s largest collection of 40,000 Irish music recordings, year-round programming and an annual festival – North America’s largest celebration of Irish music and culture, showcasing more than 100 entertainment acts at a four-day, 16-stage event at the Henry W. Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront. The festival takes place the third weekend each August with this year’s festival taking place August 18 through 21, 2011. The excitement continues next year, August 16 through 19, 2012.
