Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School
August 10 - 14, 2015
The Irish Fest Summer School features classes that showcase the rich culture, history and traditions of Ireland and Irish America, past and present. Come learn to play Irish fiddle, flute, tin whistle, guitar, harp, Celtic music styles and more from master musicians. Or take a discussion class and learn about Irish history, Irish language, and culture! Our Celtic arts classes offer hands-on learning for everyone!
This August, the Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School comes home to the village of Wauwatosa, headquartered in the historic Milwaukee Irish Fest Center! Classes will be held at three locations, nestled within easy walking distance of each other and the village itself:
The Milwaukee Irish Fest Center, home of festival operations, the Irish Fest School of Music, and the Ward Irish Music Archives.
St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
Wauwatosa Women’s Club
Free parking available at St. Matthew’s and at the Milwaukee Irish Fest Center, as well as ample free public parking in Wauwatosa lots.
The Wauwatosa village is just a short walk away from our class locations. Students will be able to enjoy lunch at a number of fine restaurants, do some shopping between classes, or grab a snack and coffee with new friends.
We’re excited to bring the Summer School community to this great location!
