About the Choir:
The Milwaukee Irish Fest Choir was founded in 1988 by Pat Moschea and Ed Ward, as an opportunity for young people to be involved in the rich tradition of Irish music. The Choir performs traditional Irish choral music at venues and events throughout the year, mainly in the summer. Over the years, more than 900 young adults have been a part of the Choir and have entertained audiences at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York and have even toured throughout Ireland, performing with the Omagh Community Youth Choir.
The end result of the Milwaukee Irish Fest Choir is an incredibly talented group of youth that are passionate about music and learning the Irish heritage. The official choir season begins in May with rehearsals and culminates with a weekend full of performances at the annual Milwaukee Irish Fest, held the third weekend in August. Members build bonds that far outreach mere summer memories, and shape their lives through valuable experiences.
