Maebh, from Omagh, Co. Tyrone, started playing fiddle at the age of seven. Coming from a family immersed in traditional Irish music, Meabh and her older sister, Una (Fiddler of Oriel winner in 2023), have gained significant attention as two of the most admired and saluted players across Ireland and further afield…belying their youthful ages. They both are captivating exponents of their traditional fiddle music.
Among the many accolades and awards Maebh has received are two All-Ireland fiddle titles, Fiddler of Dooney, 2019, the Ed Reavy Award in 2023, and the national Scor na nOg.
