I am a proud resident of County Donegal, Ireland, where my life revolves around my family, my work, and my passion for Irish culture. As a husband and father of three children, I cherish the values of community and heritage that are deeply rooted in our Irish way of life. Recently, I completed an MSc in Lifestyle Medicine & Coaching, a milestone that has enriched my professional journey. My business specialises in Team Coaching, where I strive to empower individuals and groups to achieve their potential. This spirit of collaboration aligns with my commitment to fostering a sense of cultural identity and shared purpose through my work. My journey with the Irish language has been one of immense personal fulfilment and discovery. Though I did not initially foresee how deeply it would shape my life, learning to speak Irish fluently became a transformative experience. Over time, I have channelled this passion into inspiring others to embrace their Irish roots, whether through teaching, writing, or participating in cultural events. My book, *Beidh Tú Alright*, stands as a testament to this journey, documenting the highs and challenges of mastering the Irish language while exploring its cultural significance. At the Milwaukee Irish Fest, I will be participating in the Ceardlann Gaeilge and the Hedge School, two spaces that celebrate the richness of our language and traditions. My connection to the Irish Fest runs deep; I had the honour of attending as Minister for the Gaeltacht and the Islands in 2015, an experience that reinforced my dedication to promoting Irish heritage on an international stage. This dedication extends beyond language alone—it encompasses a love for Irish culture in its many forms. Over the years, I have been privileged to teach and learn alongside others, sharing my knowledge at workshops, lectures, and festivals such as the Boyle Arts Festival and the upcoming Clifden Arts Festival. These events offer a platform to connect with individuals who share a yearning to rediscover and celebrate their heritage. November marked a significant milestone in my career: 25 years in politics. Throughout this time, I have worked tirelessly to advocate for the preservation of the Irish language and culture. I am proud to have contributed to initiatives that inspire people to explore their heritage and cultivate a sense of belonging. At the Milwaukee Irish Fest, I hope to inspire attendees to delve into their own stories, learn about their roots, and embrace their cultural identity. Whether through workshops, conversations, or shared experiences, I aim to ignite a sense of pride and connection that mirrors my own journey. I look forward to joining you at this extraordinary celebration of Irish heritage and culture, where we can together honour the traditions that continue to shape our lives and communities.
